The Aachener Werkzeug- und Formenbau, a joint business unit of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of the RWTH Aachen and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT), will present the 9th international Tool and Die Making for the Future colloquium December 1, 2009, in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Promoting this year’s colloquium under the motto  Meet the best!, the organizer will showcase outstanding technological and business developments that are relevant to tool and die making companies, their suppliers, and their customers. As part of the series of lectures, selected finalists of the well known  Excellence in Production  competition will offer detailed practical insight into their strategies for success and suggest how they can be implemented in everyday operations.

The prize recognizing the Toolmaker of the Year 2009 will be presented at an award ceremony taking place on the evening of December 1. That event should energize those colloquium attendees planning to travel to nearby Frankfurt am Main to visit the EuroMold trade fair that begins on December 2.

The 9th Tool and Die Making for the Future colloquium takes place at the Wiesbaden Kurhaus.
