Tüyap Bursa Fair Inc. and Prestij Publishing (Mould World Magazine) collaborated to organize a big trade exhibition comprising three fairs that was staged successfully in Bursa, Turkey, in May. Some 16,000 people visited Mould Eurasia 2009, Bursa Autotechnic 2009, and Bursa Sheet Machining Technologies 2009.
Mould Eurasia was the third Bursa mould technologies and subindustries fair. Autotechnic was the second Bursa automotive subindustries, garage and service equipment, gas station equipment, and LPG systems fair. Sheet Machining Technologies was the original sheet, pipe, and profile machining technologies and subindustries fair. All of these events, which were held in the Tüyap Bursa International Fair and Congress Centre, were put on with the support of UKUB (the Tool Manufacturers’ Association of Turkey), the city government of Bursa, and the Bursa Chamber of Industry.
During that fair week in May, Bursa hosted 275 exhibiting companies from 20 countries at Mould Eurasia. The industrial city in western Turkey, being a leading transportation technology location with automotive manufacturers and their supply industries, has a high export capacity. Visitors to the fair originated in some 30 industrial cities in Turkey where manufacturing enterprises cluster, including Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Konya, Manisa, and Mersin, as well as Bursa itself.
The spring meeting of the European branch of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association was held in Bursa in conjunction with Mould Eurasia 2009. Meeting attendees as well as fair visitors with an interest in developments in the mould making and moulding industries were able to garner valuable information from mould seminars presented at the fair in parallel to the exhibition.
